On 27th June 2019 we were invited to the launch of the new ICEBAR theme and its sister restaurant YUU Kitchens. We received candyfloss cocktails on arrival which were amazing. The restaurant has a really cosy vibe throughout which would be great for a catch up with friends. Canapés followed, which were miniature versions of the dishes available on the main menu, they were amazing. It was my first time trying Japanese/South-East Asian food and it did not disappoint. My personal favourite was the sticky chilli chicken bites, they had the perfect amount of spice and sweet. Drinks were flowing and it was a great buzz of people in there along with a DJ adding to the already vibrant atmosphere.
We then had the opportunity to experience the ICEBAR’s new theme, VALHALLA CALLING, along with complimentary drinks, prosecco cocktails. The experience was fantastic and, again never having attended the ICEBAR before it was an experience not to go unmissed for anyone debating this. We were able to get some photos, have a drink and mingle with others.
Following this, we proceeded to have some drinks in the all new Fire Bar, which is decorated with authentic furniture along with – as it says in the title – fire feature. We were able to try some lovely cocktails made with fruits and spirits. They went down a treat to say the least.
I would definitely recommend the experience to anyone looking for an entertaining day out in busy London. The bar is located just a short walk from Oxford Circus underground and will be a great way to cool off in British Summertime, with the ICEBAR’s temperature reaching a chilly minus 5 degrees. I for one will definitely be returning.
I would like to thank ICEBAR London/Yuu Kitchen for having us and finally, Andrew from Octopus TV (Instagram – @OctopusTV) for inviting us and allowing us to experience such an amazing London gem.
